These foxes manily live and hunt in snow. For its preys are fish,weasels which hide in snowy holes and it uses its diving skills to penetrate the snow for its prey. Dr joshua(specialist in wildlife) suggests that a red fox could see a ring of "shadow" on its retina that darkens toward magnetic north. Just like a normal shadow, it always appears to be the same distance ahead.
